Entry requirements

To be admitted to this bachelor’s programme, you need the following three documents:

A high school diploma
You must hold a diploma that is equivalent to a Dutch pre-university high school diploma (HAVO or higher).
Proof of English language proficiency
You are required to prove that your English level meets or exceeds CEFR level B2. Tio accepts one of the following English test results:
- TOEFL iBT: minimum score of 80 (taken at an official test centre)
- IELTS Academic: overall score of at least 6.0
- Pearson PTE Academic: minimum score of 61
- Cambridge English: minimum score of 160 (FCE or higher)
You are exempt from this requirement if you meet one of the following criteria:
- You hold an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma
- You have an American High School Diploma from a recognised and accredited school (please confirm with your school board)
- You have a GCSE certificate in English First Language or English as a Second Language
- You are a citizen of one of these countries:
  United Kingdom, Ireland, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Malta, or Singapore
- You come from Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Eustatius or Sint Maarten and hold a Dutch passport
A valid passport or identity card
- EU/EEA students: identity card or passport
- Non-EU/EEA students: valid passport required

Fees, Funding and Scholarships at Tio Business School

Tio offers scholarships to foreign students from the European Union (EU /EEA) and to non-European students for its English bachelor courses. The scholarship is awarded for one academic year.

Tio Super Talent Scholarship

The amount of this scholarship is € 10,450 per full degree student. The scholarship is awarded for one academic year. It is possible to apply for this scholarship every year. You are eligible if you meet the following criteria:

You must have outstanding study results.
You must have an IELTS Academic score of 7.0 or higher, TOEFL iBT score of 100 or higher, Cambridge exam of CAE-A or higher or CEFR C1 level or higher.

Tio Talent Scholarship

The amount of this scholarship is € 5,225 per full degree student. The scholarship is awarded for one academic year. It is possible to apply for this scholarship every year. You are eligible if you meet the following criteria:

You must have above average study results.
You must have an IELTS Academic score of 6.5 or higher, TOEFL iBT score of 90 or higher, Cambridge exam of CAE-B or higher or CEFR C1 level or higher.

How to apply for the scholarships

If you would like to be considered for a scholarship, you need to provide Tio with the following information:

Send your letter of motivation and curriculum vitae in English to [email protected].
Attach a letter of recommendation in English from your former (secondary) school.
Attach a legalised copy of all Higher Education qualifications translated into English.
Attach a legalised copy of recent mark/grade lists translated into English.
Attach a legalised copy of your English language proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL).

Within two weeks of your scholarship application, you will be informed whether or not the scholarship can be awarded. When awarded, the scholarship is paid out as a discount on your tuition fee. All scholarships are subject to availability and only available for non-Dutch nationality students.

From Spain to a lot of rain: 'Totally worth it!'
