Community healthcare is undergoing rapid and immense change following structural changes and reorganisation of the National Health Service in Wales. This Community Health Studies degree is fully funded by the Welsh Government and gives you an understanding of the contemporary primary and community health agenda.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) states that to achieve specialist practitioner status, graduates must have achieved prescribed standards, both core and community-specific. The BSc (Hons) Community Health Studies meets the specific requirements from the Nursing and Midwifery Council regarding community nursing competence. When you successfully complete this Community Health Studies degree, you will have a recordable specialist practice qualification in General Practice Nursing.
