GIS knowledge is in demand on many parts of the labour market. As a citizen of a country outside the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, you are required to pay application and tuition fees for studies at Umeå University.

Eligibility
A Bachelor's degree comprising at least 180 higher education credits or an equivalent foreign degree. Specific entry requirements: At least 7.5 higher
education credits in geographical information systems (GIS), geographic information technology or geoinformatics, or in related subject areas such as cartography, remote sensing or spatial analysis, provided that the course includes practical use of GIS software. Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English 6/level 2.
Selection
Academic credits completed by the last application date (in the range of 30-285 credits equivalent to ECTS)
European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) countries and Switzerland citizens are not required to pay application and tuition fees for education at Swedish universities at the undergraduate and master's level.
With a few exceptions, all citizens of countries outside of the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland are required to pay application and tuition fees for education at Swedish universities at the undergraduate and master's level.
